Changchun Migao
A potassium sulphate facility, with two 40,000 tonne per year production facilities, located in the city of Changchun, Jilin Province. This location has been producing potassium sulphate since December 21, 2007.The second 40,000 tonne production facility was completed in early 2012.
Guangdong Migao
Migao's the first potassium sulphate facility and largest by production capacity, is found near the city of Guangzhou, Guangdong Province. After its first full year of production in calendar 2005, Guangdong Migao produced 40,000 tonnes of potassium sulphate. Today, the facility can produce 160,000 tonnes per year, including nearly 200,000 tonnes of hydrochloric acid.
Liaoning Migao
A potassium sulphate facility, with 40,000 tonnes of annual capacity, located in the city of Yingkou, Liaoning Province.
Shanghai Migao
A potassium sulphate facility with 40,000 tonnes of annual capacity is near completion in Shanghai, in an industrial park, and is expected to have its final certification to begin full production in early 2012.
Sichuan Migao
Sichaun Migao, located near Chengdu City, Sichuan Province, is a potassium nitrate facility. Established in 2003, this is Migao's oldest facility and in 2005, produced 50,000 tons of potassium nitrate. As a result of the manufacturing process of potassium nitrate, ammonium chloride is produced as a by-product, which is sold locally as an input for traditional nitrogen fertilizer.
Sichuan Migao's current potassium nitrate production capacity is 80,000 tonnes per year. This region of China is home to a well-established industrial chemical industry as well, large-scale tobacco growing occurs in Sichuan and surrounding provinces - an important customer base for Miago.
Patented technology is employed in the production process of potassium nitrate at the Sichuan location. This technology ensures an accurate and consistent chemical composition of each bag of potassium nitrate. This commitment to quality is very important to Migao's agricultural customers.
The Sichuan location also produces 100,000 tonnes per year of specialty NPK fertilizers from a facility constructed in 2010. The primary market for the special NPK is the tobacco industry. The success of this operation spurred the construction of a similar facility in neighbouring Guizhou province at Zunyi Migao.
SQM/Sichuan Migao
Migao established a joint venture with SQM of Chile for the production and marketing of potassium nitrate. The 40,000 tonne per year facility is located adjacent to the Sichuan Migao property.
Zunyi Migao
Zunyi Migao began operations in early 2012 and produces specialty NPK. The facility contains two 50,000 tonne per year production lines. The primary market is tobacco, however the company expects to expand into other agricultural markets as a result of field studies on local vegetable crops.
